The Lambs came out on top in this seven goal thriller. With Glynn Hobbs and Warren Daw both suspended, and Shane Krac unavailable, manager Stuart Henderson had to make changes to his starting line up. Josh Grant lead the attack, with Ricki Shepherd, and Luke Brown starting.

The game got off to a fast start with both teams playing some good passing football. It was Lambs Josh Oak that was called upon to make the first fine save when he pushed a fierce shot from Thomson away for a corner kick. The Lambs then produced a fine move to open up the Helston defence, when Josh Robins beautiful cross, saw Jack Crago slice his shot inches wide of the target.

The hosts took the lead in the 20th minute when a fine move saw Jaime Thomson produce a great finish, low into the corner of the net. Four minutes later the Lambs equalised when a fine run by Rickie Shepherd was cleared for a corner kick. Steve Roger s kick was only partially cleared, the ball fell to Josh Grant who flashed the ball home from fifteen yards. The visitors were now gaining control with Steve Rogers and Dave Hallett controlling the middle of the park.

Helston keeper then made a brilliant save to deny Jack Crago from giving the Lambs the lead. Just before the interval the Lambs deservedly took the lead when a great passing move saw Crago and Luke Brown exchange passes to set up Josh Grant who calmly slotted the ball home from ten yards.

Three minutes into the second half Helston  equalised, when poor marking from a corner kick allowed Matt Drummond to fire home from close range. The home team took the lead in the 55th minute when Josh Oak slipped as he took a goal kick, he sliced the ball which fell to Mattie Buchan just outside the penalty area, he made no mistake as he fired the ball into the net.

This set back stirred the Lambs into action, and the home keeper was called upon to make two great saves to deny Grant And Crago. The Lambs levelled on the hour another great move saw Jack Trebble make a penetrating run, his fine pass found Josh Grant in the area, who was brought down as he was about to shoot. The referee immediately pointed to the penalty spot. Grant blasted the spot kick into the net to complete his hat trick.

Ten minutes later the Lambs regained the lead when a good move release Jack Crago, who made a great penetrating run, cutting inside his marker before unleashing an unstoppable thunderbolt of a shot, that found the top corner of the net.

Helston continued to play some very good football but the Lambs defence were determined not to let their hard earned lead slip.

Dan Evans went close with a header from a corner kick for the Lambs, before new signing Washburn saw his effort go inches over the bar following some fine work by Robins and Crago.

In time added on Josh Oak was called on to make a smart save to deny the home team.

Another good team performance with everyone playing their part.  Rogers and Dave Hallett were terrific in the middle of the park. Dan Evans and Lewis Daw were in fine form as was Josh Robins. Both Jack Crago and Josh Grant caused the home defence problems throughout the game A good result which maintains the team third place in the league table.
